Oral Health Clinics
Ostrow makes comprehensive oral healthcare attainable for underserved members of our community by partnering with clinics throughout Los Angeles so that oral health services are convenient and accessible.
Dr. Roseann Mulligan Special Patients Clinic
Ostrow’s Special Patients Clinic — named the Dr. Roseann Mulligan Special Patients Clinic in 2015 — provides compassionate, comprehensive care based on each patient’s specific needs, including those who are medically compromised or have disabilities.
USC Dental Clinic at Union Rescue Mission
Ostrow partners with Union Rescue Mission (URM) to provide emergency and comprehensive dental services to those experiencing homelessness. The USC–URM Dental Clinic is dedicated to restoring oral health and smiles for Skid Row residents.
USC+JWCH Center For Community Health
Ostrow also partners with the John Wesley Community Health Institute (JWCH) to serve those on Skid Row. In addition to needing oral healthcare, many of the patients served by the USC+JWCH Center for Community Health are coping with the additional challenges of living with HIV, hepatitis, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, mental illness and other conditions.
Ostrow’s fourth-year dental students serve pediatric patients at St. John’s Well Child and Family Center, a nonprofit that operates a network of federally qualified community and school-based health centers at five stand-alone sites in densely populated urban neighborhoods in Downtown Los Angeles, South Los Angeles and Northeast Los Angeles.
Community Health Centers Of The Central Coast
Many Ostrow students complete rotations at Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, where they serve patients of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds and languages in rural community health clinics.
La Maestra Community Health Centers
Ostrow partners with La Maestra Community Health Centers to provide culturally and linguistically knowledgeable prevention, treatment, chronic disease management and essential support services to San Diego’s most culturally diverse and lowest-income communities.
