How to Apply

Dental Hygiene Program

Step 1. Apply directly to the Ostrow School of Dentistry

Visit Under “Application Services” please click on “DHCAS”.  Create a new account.  Whether you are applying to the Dental Hygiene (DH) or the DH/DDS Pathway program, select “Entry-Level.”

Application materials are due by February 1 of the year in which enrollment is desired.

Step 2. Apply for undergraduate admission to USC

USC uses the Common Application for Undergraduate College Admission. Students must complete the Common Application and the USC Supplement, both of which can be accessed at the Common Application website.

Transfer students must submit complete records and official transcripts from all colleges and/or universities attended. Transcripts must be collected by the applicant and forwarded with completed application materials directly to the Ostrow School of Dentistry Office of Admissions and to the USC Office of Admission.

Step 3: Visit the USC campus for an interview

The Office of Admissions will contact applicants selected for an interview. Interviews are held in late March or early April.

Step 4: If you are accepted, pay the necessary fees

Accepted applicants will be required to reserve their position in the class within 14 days of acceptance with a $500 nonrefundable deposit. A second, refundable, deposit of $1,500 will be due July 15.
