Do you want to become an Ostrow patient?

Call (213) 740-2800 to schedule an initial appointment.

After an evaluation, you will be assigned to a student dentist, who is supervised by one of our expert faculty members.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

You will pay $120-$180 for the initial visit, including a basic X-ray. Some patients must pay an additional fee for specialized X-rays.

Please bring to your first appointment:

  • Photo ID
  • Original medical insurance card, not a copy (if you have insurance)
  • List of all medications, with dosages (including over-the-counter medicines and any vitamins or herbal supplements)
  • Your primary care doctor’s name and contact information
  • Lab values (if you have a medical condition or take medications that require you to have laboratory blood tests — for example, your current hemoglobin A1c if you are diabetic)

Under the supervision of our expert faculty, residents (dentists in training) provide high-quality care in our specialty clinics at reduced rates. The following clinics require a referral from your dentist: Endodontics, Operative and Adhesive Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics and Prosthodontics. Our Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine, Orthodontics, Pediatrics and Special Needs Clinics do not require a referral.

You also can become a patient of the school’s Dental Faculty Practice, where you will receive state-of-the-art treatment from dentists, specialists and dental hygienists who are leaders in their fields. The faculty practice charges rates similar to private dental practices — approximately three times the cost of care in our student clinics.
