CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE

Research is central to the school’s mission and quality research requires a significant investment in high-quality, state-of-the-art facilities. The School of Dentistry has research facilities and centers on both the Health Science and University Park campuses.  These include:

Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology – The School of Dentistry’s primary research facility is the Center for Craniofacial Molecular  Biology (CCMB).  Home to leading researchers in fields such as biomineralization, cleft palate and oral cancer, CCMB continues to build upon its substantial legacy of groundbreaking  research.  The center is located on the university’s Health Sciences campus.

For more information visit the CCMB Web site at: http://www.usc.edu/hsc/dental/ccmb/
USC Oral Health Center and Center for Dental Technology – These state-of –the –art facilities located just north of the University Park campus in the University Village are home to exciting research in biomimetic dental materials.  OHC and CDT researchers are testing and developing better methods and materails that improve both form and function of dental restorations.
