SHAPING THE FUTURE OF ORAL HEALTH

bringas_edited

Home to major breakthroughs in craniofacial biology and clinical innovations that have shaped the profession, the School of Dentistry has defined what is taught, what is thought and what is practiced in the oral health professions for over one hundred years.

Today, the School of Dentistry engages in cutting edge research in areas as disparate as three-dimensional imaging, tooth morphogenesis,  microbial pathogenesis, systems biology of craniofacial structures, and cmv-induced oral pathology. Scientists at the school are unraveling the mysteries of human genetics; decoding the chemical language of bacteria biofilms; revealing diagnostic biomarkers in human saliva; and much, much more.
