The Urgent Care and Dental Trauma Center specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental emergencies, including root canal infection, removal of decay, tooth fractures, periodontal infection, dental traumatic injuries and fabrication of custom-fitted mouthguards to prevent sports related traumatic injuries.Typical procedures include openning of teeth to start root canal treatment (extirpation or debridement), replacement of broken fillings, removal of decay, repair of broken dentures, fabrication of temporary removable partials, repair of teeth fractures, treatment of traumatic dental injuries, treatment of endodontic and periodontal related infections.

Treatment is provided by junior and senior dental students under the supervision of expert faculty. Not all patients are suitable to receive emergency dental tretment. Patients are seen on a first come, first served basis.

The emergency visit and x-ray is $69. please note: this fee is non-refundable; after the patient has been examined the patient will notified of any additional fees for treatment.

Please keep in mind the Urgent Care Clinic can only treat the first 14 patients will be accepted per day, we advise all patients to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled hours of operation.

Denti-Cal is accepted. Denti-Cal patient must bring their Beneficiary Identifiation Card (BIC) and valid California photo identification. 

In compliance with the FTC's Identity Theft Red Flags program, the School of Dentistry is taking steps to help ensure the security of our patient's personal information by verifying the identity of all patients during visits to the School of Dentistry. All patients are required to present a valid photo identification ( California driver's license, California identification card, passport or other government-issued photo identification).

Please note the School of Dentistry will be closed on the following dates:
